Figured I'd make a thread in case anyone was interested in how the show went. It wasn't quite the turnout we were hoping for, but decent for the amount of time we had available to plan and promote I suppose. At least that's what the guy who worked for the Croc Rock told us. But we both had a pretty good time there despite this fact.

There will be more about this on the next episode coming out this week. Unfortunately we weren't able to really get much footage from the show, due to a number of factors. However, some great news and possibilities are being announced regarding something similar, so keep an eye out :wink:

Anyway, was anyone from the forums there at the show? If so, how'd you like it?

Wish I was at the show. Er, couple states away.

But I think it's a great idea. Keep trying. The first one is rough, and if not too many people showed up, then hey. That's fewer people around to say it sucked. (JK!!!)

I think it's a great way to stay in touch and involved with your local music scene. My bar owner friends here in town started a music fest and was a bomb the first time, but the crowds grew and grew until it was a hugely anticipated event every summer.

Awesome. Good to hear we're not the only ones who had trouble the first time. Even if we don't do more plugging for each show, people will tell their friends and bring them next time, growing the audience. But we will definitely be doing some more press and plugs for future shows.

With the time we had, we only had about a week to pass out and post fliers with the final line-up of bands. And promoted it mostly to our friends and fans of the show. Certainly not ideal.

Next time will be better for sure.
