    I got my Mess of Music shirt in the mail! I’m very excited to wear it and advertise for 2 of my favorite guys!

    On another note, my contest entry:

    My favorite moment in M.O.M. history has to be the Taste of Chaos tour. It was one of your very first “big break” moments and when you came back from interviewing the bands, you were both SO pumped and SO excited, especially having gotten that interview with Thursday!!

    DH, i recognize that shirt…

    the thing i’m most impressed by in this year-end wrap-up is how comfortable you guys have become, both in interviews and in talking to the camera. it’s not easy and you guys have made some great strides. well done.

    favorite DB haircut: “the lesbian”, circa Eef interview.

    just rewatched most of the “first” episode, too just now, to see Dan’s awesome song again, and literally had to wipe my eyes again…

    It’s definately one of the best eps, but that wasn’t the contest.

    My submission for best segment, if there was such a contest: (I get redundant here), Genre School.

    That segment if done more often (or maybe as a short spin off show? /thinkingoutloud) could honestly put you on the map.

    Honestly, I think I’ve watched the Angry/Drunk ep. more than any other. I think I’ve also personally shown it to more people than any other, too.

    Awesome, man, thanks for the entry.

    I just rewatched that part of the angry episode, and it is pretty great. It really does seem like the video froze for a few seconds while we sit there in amazement. For me, I was sitting there to see if there was any indication it was somehow staged or a joke or something. Only to be surprised it was a real, unplanned (for MTV anyway) interruption.

    My contest entry.

    Tough call, really. It is between 3 things:

    (not including) the Glee Debate in the Members Only section, ’cause that most probably don’t count.

    3) In the zombie apocalypse ep: DanB saying “You got a wetnap?”

    2) In the “First” episode: DanH’s beautiful song he wrote for his wedding. (sob)

    But my winner isssss… (drumroll)

    1) In the Angry Episode: The Giant Jaw Drop, and subsequent silence at Kanye’s VMA stunt taped live while watching.

    Instant classic.

    Yeah, seen the quality change bit by bit, kinda staggering to see the changes compared so drastically after a year.

    It’s always amazing to see how comfortable DanB has always been in interviews since day one.

    (my overview observation after a year, you two have gotten so much better at both talking to each other and the audience/camera over time)

    Yeah, the WARP tour eps were def the years highlight.

    (and a breakthrough for ya, in many ways)

    It’s a MONTAGE /southpark

    one thing that hasn’t and shouldn’t change: your two’s laid back, natural chemistry together.

    or a rabbit, haha..

    Something was missing in the year in review.. And it’s gonna be my contest entry… stay tuned.

    haha, I’ve had relatively the same two hairstyles. Short faux-hawk, and longer messy. There’s so much stuff I wish I could have fit in to this montage, but I had to keep it moving and not be 15 minutes.

    Some of my other favorite moments that didn’t make it:
    the outtakes at the end of the episode shot outside (watch them if you haven’t seen them)
    the entire zombie episode intro
    the “behind the scenes” concept episode
    every interview at warped tour
    Berg and Jerry live in the studio
    the progression of the set, audio, and video

    Also, there were rumors that none of the episodes were viewable on iPods. With this episode it should be fixed. Anyone who has an iPod with video let me know if it can indeed be transferred and viewed on your iPod.

    One of my favorite things about the montage is seeing how many different hairstyles I have had over the course of a single year. Jeez.
