Awesome episode. Seems like you guys are finding your stride and the show has a much smoother flow. I died laughing at the Jeopardy gag. Awesomeness.
I was surprised that with the talk of mashups, you guys didn’t mention the king of mashups, Girl Talk. He was in the headlines for a while due to a lot of legal drama with record companies and the RIAA and he’s the focus of an upcoming documentary about copyright issues. I forget the name, but I saw the trailer a while ago and it looks awesome.
I remember back in the days when Napster first came out. That was a GREAT way to get mashups back then. Before those days, you had to get mashups passed to you through mix tapes and clubs. Napster made it easier for high school kids to get their hands on some fresh stuff. All you had to do was search “mashup” or “vs” or “remix” and thousands of songs were at your fingertips.
For the next installment, you guys TOTALLY need to pick a track from Girl Talk’s “feed the animals” or check out a mashup of D.A.N.C.E. by Justice mixed with Buddy Holly by Weezer. idunno who does it, but it’s epic. INSANITY!

Oh man! I suck… I mentioned Girl Talk in one of the takes and must have forgotten to do so during the good one…
I will absolutely bring it up next time we do this segment.
