    So what do you guys think about the plagiarism claim? Listening to them again, I think they’re pretty similar. Though it’s only one part, not “substantial portions.”

    I do hear the similarity, but I don’t think it was deliberately lifted.

    In total seriousness: the idea of Harry Potter with a guitar just rubs me the right way. Please, tell me how I can sublime my dead-end obsession with these characters into a dynamic obsession with music based upon them.

    Santriani’s just crying cuz he hates the fact that he’s not as popular as Coldplay. I can’t imagine him winning that one in court. You guys should check out Dredg. They’re pretty well established, but no one around here seems to know them. Their song Matroska is incredible. And their album El Cielo is art rock at its best. I love the format of the site.
