No problem. I'm quite a fan of Virginia myself. As you probably know. (:

You can also find any songs available on iTunes linked on the site in the “Links” section. If you click through our site and purchase the song from iTunes we get credit and a few cents per purchase I believe. I forgot to announce that on the latest episode that all songs mentioned that are available on iTunes will be linked on the site if you want to buy them.

Oh, and I'm totally down with tapping the regulars for assistance in Genre School.

I may continue this little trend since everything is available on the youtubes, and I think we are ok posting the links here in the forum. We just shouldn't announce it that way on the show.

Cool. ya gotta keep linking to the songs you can't play in full due to time or copyright issues on the forums.
The Genre School segment is killer, Maybe in the near future I'll do a “guest” one. “origins of Emo, before it sucked.” haha.
Er, actually, punk from the 'Pistols to 'Park”

Nice job posting those, Dan. Sorry I forgot the second clip. I will try to add it and switch out the video. Thanks for the high five Katie! I'm a fan of Virginia. Thanks for the feedback guys. Be sure to stick around this Wednesday for part one of our Warped Tour coverage. We've got some surprises and some awesomeness.

I just remembered that DH forgot a clip during the Genre School segment. Rather than just put up a clip of the song I was going to use, I'll post the video here, with the full versions/videos of ALL songs used.
The one we forgot was “Early Mornin' Tony” by Felt. Felt is a side project between Slug of Atmosphere and MURS of Living Legends.

Ok, now that I've seen the episode… I really liked the genre school segment. I'll definitely be checking out those artists I haven't heard of. And I just decided that I really want Edy's chocolate ice cream…. that stuff with the fudge and caramel in it. You know what I'm talking about? Right. I'm going to run to the store and get some right now. Maybe when I get back and I'm satisfied after eating my ice cream I'll edit this to finish what I thought about the episode.

That was a great episode, super impressed with the genre school segment, I had no idea you were gonna go into so much depth. I'm Kinda like danH with the hip hop thang, but I learned a lot, enjoyed several of the song segments you played, and learned quite a bit about a genre I usually avoid. Can't wait to see further ones.
This Month in music was a fun short bit of silliness, too. Nice new segment.
Have fun at the Warp Tour, (er, that was yesterday, but I'm sure it was great) and looking forward to the interviews in the next few eps.
Also, Berg and Jerry songs in that contest are awesome, gonna vote when it opens on monday. You should send a reminder tweet next week.
